I'm impressed! It looks far more complex than the PG Gundam, and that took me 4 days. Quite well timed though, as the PG Aile pack and skygrasper are out in 2 months time.
How long did it take you? Any problems with the electronics (i'm assuming it's got some, as pretty much all other PGs have)?

It was pretty simple to build. No springs or screws etc. Took about 12 hours work I think. The electronics were bastard hard. It's all in the head on this one, because only the eyes light up. It has a little module thats removable that they all fit in, its a box about 2cm square, with the LED sticking out. When you wobble the LED, the light goes on and off, due to making and breaking contacts. Alas, something in the head moves it to the off position, so I have to take the head apart to use the light. I'll solder it when I go home in June.
Great news about the Aile Pack, I'll be sure to get one!!

Its not bad but of all the PGs you could have got why did you pick the Strike?
OR is it a case where the Strike was the only PG you could get?

I picked the Strike (could've had any), because it was slightly cheaper than the others, I like the grey bits on its limbs (add a bit more to it), the internal frame is meant to be very good, its super posable, I like the MS design, it holds its position well.
Why, what's wrong with the Strike?

Why, what's wrong with the Strike? well, firstly, its a SEED MS. nuff said. Secondly, its a very plain Gundam-esque model and, in my opinion, for the money you're shelling out for a PG I'd buy some more...fancy looking. Thirdly - see my first point. I'm not saying you did a bad job putting it together and I'd love to see what you've done with it after you've painted it. What I am saying is that of all the PGs, the stirke would be the last one I'd expect anyone to pick.

RX-78-2 - Good, but I have loads of RX-78's Zaku II - Very cool, I want one Zaku IIS - Prefer the green one Gundam MkII AEUG - Friend has one, it broke easily Gundam MkII Titans - Same as above Zeta Gundam - Read it has balance issues Wing Zero Custom - Don't like the wings GP-01 - Very expensive, frame not as good Strike Gundam - Very posable. Looks cool. Are there any I missed? So it was basically between the Zaku and the Strike. I picked Strike for the posability. My favourite kinds of Gundam are the simple designs (RX-78, MkII, RX-79, Strike etc etc). Add lots of wings and sticking out bits, and it just isn't as cool IMO. So I like the Strike. img247.echo.cx/my.php?image=dsci00392bh.jpg

oooo. i like how much the foot can bend up. that really IS a poseable kit. do you plan on buying the Skygrasper as well?
oh, and did your friend treat the MK II like a toy and play with it? i have the AEUG colors model. it has yet to break. you didn't miss any, but there are some things i'd like to mention about your list there.
MK II is not fragile if you're careful enough with it. i'm not the most careful guy in the world when it comes to gundam models. but my MK II isnt broken at all.
and Gundam Zephyranthes costs the same $220.00 as Zeta does at gundamstoreandmore.com. so really he isnt any more expensive. but i HAVE seen him go for more at other stores. usually a $20.00 increase
